Get your ID numberStudents staying a year or more register with the police and the tax office and get a fødselsnummer or D-number. The school helps with this. It unlocks Helsenorge, a GP and e-prescriptions.

Log in to HelsenorgeDownload the Helsenorge app. Log in with MinID or BankID (the school helps you get one). Here you book, message your GP, see prescriptions and test results.

Choose a GPOn Helsenorge, find a fastlege in Fjaler with open places and register. If none is open, the school nurse can help you get on a list.

Sort out insuranceEU/EEA and UK: bring your EHIC or GHIC card. Everyone: the school insures students for the whole stay, so find out what it covers, especially dental and flights home, and keep the policy number in your phone.

Bring your medicines and a letterBring enough regular medicine for a few months plus a doctor's letter in English. Tell the school nurse about allergies, asthma, diabetes or anything a doctor should know quickly.
